THE STORY

Fheel Concepts is a performance arts company that develops participatory and hybrid circus creations. Created in October 2016 by Corinne Linder, circus artist and artistic director of the company.

The artistic vision is to integrate digital and sensory arts in its creations, while keeping the fundamental principles of contemporary circus.

Often participatory and interactive, the works of Cie Fheel Concepts explores the boundaries between the real and the virtual. To create surprising performance formats and a new relationship between actors-spectators .

For me, circus is a multidisciplinary art—a place of creativity and innovation.

Corinne began practicing circus at the age of 7 and trained as a circus artist at Le Lido (ESACTO) in Toulouse from 2011 to 2014. She also holds a degree in production for circus and dance projects from Jean Jaurès University, Toulouse, in 2016.

In 2017, she founded the company Fheel Concepts, with which she directs hybrid shows combining circus and digital technology and develops digital solutions for live performance. Some of Fheel Concepts’ creations include: SonoToolkit Cirque, a project selected as one of the seven winners of the Innovative Digital Services (SNI) in 2017, in collaboration with Audiogaming. It is software designed to expand the possibilities of sound creation in contemporary circus; Hold On, a virtual reality short film performed in 14 countries to date; and The Ordinary Circus Girl, multi-screen SACD Award 2021—a show blending virtual reality and circus.

Concepts project “SonotoolKit Cirque” was chosen to be one of the 7 Lauréats by the Ministry of Culture and Communication (France), a grant dedicated to Innovative Digital Services.

The SonoToolkit Cirque is a complete device intended to extend the sound possibilities in contemporary circus. The device is used to capture, amplify and transform the sounds emitted by circus artists. Inspired by the work of sound technology in virtual reality (VR) this new innovative device responds to a lack of tools for sound creation in contemporary circus.
